Gordon Parks: The Power of Photography exhibition was held in May of 2024 at the Albin Polesk Museum in Winter Park, FL.
I was invited to speak around community photography; it was important to include local African American photographers to be a part of the discussion and speak directly about their experiences as photographers and the impact of photography in Black communities as a way to reclaim our stories.
My goal as the moderator was to give space to emerging photographers and hear a unique perspective and real life experiences.
